AI Cybersecurity Governance Specialist

About the role

DeepLight AI is seeking an experienced AI Cybersecurity Governance Specialist to work on‑site with a leading banking client. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining governance frameworks that secure AI and machine‑learning systems while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define, update and maintain enterprise‑wide AI cybersecurity governance policies and operational guardrails.
• Manage the risk lifecycle for AI models, data pipelines and third‑party AI integrations, from identification to registration.
• Monitor emerging AI and financial regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, central bank guidelines) and align internal policies accordingly.
• Collaborate with AI developers, MLOps engineers, legal counsel and data‑privacy officers to embed governance without stifling innovation.
• Prepare and present AI risk posture dashboards, policy exceptions and compliance metrics to risk committees and senior executives.
• Champion secure AI adoption across the institution, modelling high professional standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in policy, risk management or cybersecurity governance, preferably within financial services.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, data pipelines and third‑party integrations.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply regional and global AI regulations.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and executive‑level communication skills.
