Assistant Manager – Compliance Quality Assurance (Banking)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Compliance Quality Assurance will lead detailed compliance reviews for a banking client in Sharjah, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires decisive action on compliance observations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews across onboarding, trade finance, sanctions, and AML processes.
• Lead special assurance activities for high‑risk areas such as PEPs, correspondent relationships, and trade finance.
• Supervise KYC monitoring, account restrictions, closures, and upgrade/downgrade activities.
• Analyze data to identify compliance gaps and recommend process enhancements.
• Prepare and present assurance reports, dashboards, and management reports for the Compliance and Board Risk Committee.
• Collaborate with business heads, compliance functions, and other stakeholders to resolve recurring issues.
• Escalate critical breaches and provide expert guidance on compliance matters.

• Proven experience managing high‑risk compliance areas in the banking sector.
