Cargo Operations Center Duty Manager

About the role

The Cargo Operations Center Duty Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders and airline functions at the Abu Dhabi Cargo Operations Center. This 24/7 role leads a dedicated team, oversees inbound quality, documentation, and messaging, and ensures seamless coordination with the Cargo Network & Delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct the 24/7 Cargo Operations Center team, focusing on global partners, escalation desk, and Etihad Cargo tracing activities.
• Monitor and report on operational KPIs, implementing corrective actions based on root‑cause analysis.
• Manage the dangerous goods hotline, providing subject‑matter expertise to airport management and check‑in agents.
• Oversee ULD control, freighter operations, and flight load plan issuance to maximize capacity.
• Coordinate with service providers, ramp handlers, GSAs, and commercial teams to achieve on‑time departure performance.
• Handle escalated shipments, special handling services (SHS & SHS+), and investigations of safety or security incidents.
• Maintain relationships with network stations (GSA & GHA) and support hub performance feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cargo operations management, preferably within an airline or logistics environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operational setting.
