Cloud Ops & DevOps Lead (Azure) – Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead cloud operations and DevOps initiatives on Azure for a leading enterprise organisation. The role focuses on building a secure, scalable cloud foundation, operationalising AI services and driving cost efficiency through FinOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy greenfield Azure environments using a landing‑zone approach.
• Integrate and manage Azure AI services such as OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence and Content Safety.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Manage the API lifecycle using Azure API Management and Kong.
• Drive cloud cost optimisation and monitoring (FinOps).
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Azure cloud experience.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Terraform.
• Experience with Azure AI services and OpenAI.
• Strong network architecture knowledge (VNETs, Private Link, firewalls).
• Experience with Azure API Management or Kong.
• Ability to produce clear architecture and design documentation.
