Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Dubai

About the role

A leading hospital in Dubai is looking for a Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to head its state‑of‑the‑art PICU. You will provide expert care to critically ill children, overseeing complex medical and surgical cases while driving clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑acuity care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and invasive monitoring.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals to design individualized treatment plans.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical education programs.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada or equivalent) and eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience in a consultant PICU role.
• Strong leadership, communication and family‑centered care philosophy.
