Contract Administrator

About the role

The Contract Administrator will oversee contractual matters for construction projects, ensuring compliance with prime contract terms, specifications, and drawings. Working closely with project teams, clients, legal advisors and stakeholders, the role aims to minimize risks while maximizing project benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on contractual matters and manage all contractual correspondence in line with prime contract terms, specifications and drawings.
• Administer construction change orders and monitor contractual commitments and performance according to client instructions.
• Prepare and review Extension of Time (EOT) claims, both for clients and contractors.
• Interpret contract documents, schedules, and as‑built records to verify dates, identify delay events and ensure compliance with milestones.
• Analyse project delays, collaborate with project managers and engineers, and apply delay‑analysis methodologies to quantify impacts on schedule and cost.
• Develop risk‑mitigation strategies, prepare delay reports, and provide expert opinions during negotiations or dispute resolution.
• Offer high‑quality advice on pre‑contract matters, procurement strategies and contract variations.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of contract law, project management, financial analysis and negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, legal advisors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to assess and resolve contractual claims and disputes professionally.
• Detail‑oriented approach to reviewing specifications, drawings and contract terms.
