Cyber Security & Threat Monitoring Specialist – SOC (Banking)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Cyber Security and Threat Monitoring Specialist to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) supporting banking clients in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across the bank’s IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform SIEM alert triage and investigation using Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and IBM QRadar.
• Lead incident response coordination following NIST SP 800‑61 guidelines, ensuring containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Collect and analyse threat intelligence relevant to the financial sector and produce executive‑level reports for the CISO and risk committees.
• Continuously monitor security logs, firewall, proxy, and network traffic to identify anomalies and prioritize alerts.
• Contribute to SOC playbook enhancements, detection rule tuning, and cross‑functional collaboration with IT, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with incident response lifecycle and NIST SP 800‑61 framework.
