HR Generalist – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, people‑focused HR Generalist to join BSI’s People team in Dubai. In this position you will provide end‑to‑end HR support across multiple countries, ensuring a consistent and high‑quality employee experience while balancing local employment requirements with global policies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across assigned countries.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, benefits administration, leave management, payroll coordination, and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and country‑specific HR documentation within HR systems.
• Provide first‑line guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee‑lifecycle matters.
• Support managers with routine people processes and best‑practice advice.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and support monthly payroll activities.
• Assist with employee‑relations matters, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Stay informed of local employment legislation and ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies.
• Contribute to regional and global HR initiatives such as leadership development, system changes, and performance processes.
• Build strong relationships across the People team and wider business to deliver a seamless employee experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a generalist or operational HR role.
• Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and people processes.
• Experience working within a global or matrixed organisation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
• High professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Business‑level English and proficiency in the local language(s) relevant to the assigned countries.
• HR‑related qualification or certification is highly desirable.
