HSSEQ Manager (Maritime Vessels)

About the role

The HSSEQ Manager will lead health, safety, security, environment and quality compliance for assigned vessels, ensuring all internal and external requirements are met. This role acts as the primary liaison between MCV, Group management, clients and regulatory authorities, driving a strong safety culture across shore‑based and vessel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a direct interface between MCV and Group management on HSSEQ matters.
• Represent HSSE interests in client meetings, authority liaison and external forums.
• Lead the safety team, ensuring delivery of effective support to internal functions and external parties.
• Set, monitor and report on annual KPIs aligned with Group and regional targets.
• Participate in shore‑ and vessel‑based safety meetings and drive constructive discussion.
• Induct employees and crew on HSSEQ policies and procedures.
• Promote and maintain the company’s safety culture across all locations.
• Collect, analyse and submit monthly performance data to the Group HSSEQ department.
• Identify performance trends and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Professional qualification or certification in QHSSE (NEBOSH preferred, DPA and CSO advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing and implementing QHSE programs, preferably on offshore supply vessels.
• Experience interacting with clients on HSE matters and building HSE culture.
• Mariner background preferred.

Required skills

• Internal auditor for ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Lead incident investigation.
• Working knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS and related maritime regulations.
• Familiarity with Class, Flag and Port State requirements.
