Iron Ore Operator

About the role

Redstone Commodity Search is partnering with an international commodities trading group to expand its Middle East team in Dubai. The Iron Ore Operator will support the physical trading desk, ensuring seamless execution of iron ore transactions from contract signing through delivery and settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operational execution of physical iron ore trades, overseeing the full trade lifecycle.
• Coordinate shipments with suppliers, buyers, shipping companies, port agents and inspection firms.
• Prepare, review and maintain trade documentation such as contracts, invoices, letters of credit, bills of lading and inspection certificates.
• Monitor vessel schedules, lay‑can windows and logistics timelines to guarantee timely cargo movements.
• Liaise with traders, finance and risk teams to resolve operational issues and keep accurate trade records.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in physical iron ore or dry‑bulk commodity operations.
• Proven track record managing vessel shipments, bulk cargo logistics and trade documentation.
• Strong understanding of the operational lifecycle of physical commodities trades.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cargoes simultaneously.
• Based in Dubai; Arabic language skills are a plus.
