MCC Engineer – Maintenance Control Center

About the role

The Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Engineer monitors the technical status of an aircraft fleet, coordinates maintenance actions and ensures regulatory compliance to maximise aircraft availability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor fleet technical status 24/7, review defects, deferred defects and technical logs.
• Coordinate unscheduled and AOG maintenance, provide technical support to line stations and maintenance providers.
• Manage MEL, CDL and DDG applications, track deferred defects and drive corrective actions.
• Lead AOG recovery, arrange spare parts, tooling and manpower, and liaise with OCC, Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Provide real‑time technical advice, troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with OEMs.
• Interface with Planning and CAMO to schedule maintenance, monitor ADs and mandatory inspections.
• Monitor fleet reliability indicators, identify trends and support corrective‑action programmes.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with national aviation authority regulations, the operator’s Approved Maintenance Program, Maintenance Control Manual and continuing airworthiness requirements.
• Prepare technical occurrence reports, maintain accurate records and support investigations.
