NICU Specialist – Critical Care for Newborns in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking an experienced NICU Specialist to join a leading healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. You will provide life‑saving care to critically ill newborns, working closely with multidisciplinary professionals to support the smallest patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialized medical care to critically ill newborns in the NICU.
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation for premature and sick infants.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Communicate progress and care plans with parents and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in the creation and adoption of best‑practice NICU procedures.
• Train and supervise junior medical staff and nursing teams.
• Ensure compliance with infection‑control and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of NICU experience with extensive ventilation expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of neonatal medicine and related procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Commitment to patient safety and high‑quality care.
• Western medical education/training preferred.
