Process & Maintenance Technician – PCBA

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Process & Maintenance Technician specialized in PCBA production to join its Dubai campus. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a range of PCBA equipment to ensure high reliability, minimal downtime, and consistent product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT machines, reflow ovens, wave/selective soldering equipment, conveyors, AOI/SPI, ICT/FCT stations, and related tools.
• Deploy auto‑maintenance using Digital Work Instructions and schedule production stops via MES tools.
• Implement predictive maintenance strategies with Industry 4.0 technologies and monitor real‑time KPIs such as MTBF and MTTR.
• Act as the primary contact with equipment suppliers for rapid breakdown resolution and remediation planning.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues to restore production quickly and safely.
• Adjust process parameters to stabilize quality, yield, and machine performance.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring failures and propose corrective actions.
• Support new equipment installations, qualification activities, and minor upgrades.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of critical components.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in electronics manufacturing and equipment maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of PCBA production equipment and processes.
• Ability to work under pressure, respond rapidly to line stoppages, and collaborate with operators and shift leaders.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and reliability engineering.
