Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Accountant will oversee sales and rental billing, manage customer accounts, and ensure timely cash inflow. Working closely with customers, sales teams, and management, the role focuses on accurate receivables reporting and swift resolution of billing issues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily sales and outstanding reports by customer, salesperson, product type, region, and country.
• Issue sales, rental, and pro‑forma invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
• Generate customer statements and follow up for payment collection.
• Record and post customer payments, including journal entries and cheque deposits.
• Monitor AR aging, produce overdue reports, and track balances per salesperson.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain invoice/payment records.
• Process credit notes and invoice cancellations after management approval.
• Handle billing inquiries, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Prepare sales target vs. achievement and unbilled estimation reports.
• Support ERP processes, petty‑cash settlement, and sales personnel check‑in/check‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s/MBA a plus).
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Accounts Receivable Accountant, preferably in contracting or construction.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle pressure.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
