Senior Software Engineer – ML Infrastructure

About the role

Open Innovation AI is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and operate the core ML infrastructure that powers our AI workload management platform. You will build scalable services that enable training, fine‑tuning, deployment and monitoring of large neural networks across cloud and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement services and infrastructure for training and fine‑tuning large neural networks.
• Develop tools for dataset management, ensuring quality, consistency and reproducibility.
• Build automated, scalable deployment pipelines for complex ML models.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to CI/CD and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists and platform teams to align infrastructure with business objectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code to support long‑term sustainability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python backend development skills.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms and data structures.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proficiency with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and ArgoCD.
• Experience monitoring production systems using metrics, logging and alerting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
