Senior System & Application Administrator

About the role

Al Etihad Payments is looking for a Senior Associate to manage and support its core system and application infrastructure. The role covers Microsoft 365 E5 services, Azure Cloud resources, and the Proxmox Hypervisor environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the full Microsoft 365 E5 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender solutions, and Azure AD.
• Manage Azure resources such as virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, monitoring, and backup services.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Proxmox Hypervisor instances and associated virtual machines.
• Perform user account management, access control, and group policy administration across M365 and Azure AD.
• Monitor system health, apply patches, and conduct routine performance checks.
• Design and execute backup and disaster‑recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
• Provide technical support, diagnose issues, and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with other IT teams for seamless integration and support.
• Participate in security audits and remediate identified vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., M365, Azure).

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 E5 components (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender for Endpoint/Identity/Cloud Apps, Azure AD).
• Azure Cloud services (VMs, VNETs, Storage Accounts, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup).
• Proxmox Hypervisor and virtual machine management.
• User account and access management, Group Policy.
• Backup, disaster recovery, and security audit processes.
