Special Education Teacher (SEN) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Al Danah Charter School in Abu Dhabi is looking for a dedicated Special Education (SEN) Teacher to deliver high‑quality lessons for students of determination, supporting their academic, social and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring lessons that help students achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Plan, develop and implement curriculum and provisions specifically for students of determination.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, parents and support staff to ensure holistic student progress.
• Organise classroom resources and create engaging learning environments.
• Differentiate instruction for the full ability range, including gifted, EAL and SEN learners.
• Assess and record student progress using the Target Tracker system.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings with speech‑language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists.
• Contribute to intra‑ and inter‑departmental professional development activities.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Commitment to building positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to reflect on practice and adapt planning accordingly.
• Experience working with students of determination is preferred.

Required skills
