Specialist Physician – Dermatology

About the role

The Specialist Physician – Dermatology provides high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care within the dermatology division. Working under the Consultant Physician, the role also involves supervising junior medical staff and contributing to clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver diagnosis and treatment in line with best‑practice standards for dermatology.
• Support departmental policies, performance management, peer review, and utilization review processes.
• Ensure continuous medical coverage for the division, including on‑call rotations.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and document clinical information promptly.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff, sharing responsibility for their patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, liaise with other specialties, and coordinate referrals.
• Prepare patients for procedures, obtain informed consent, and communicate clinical information to patients and families.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives, audits, and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified Specialist Physician in Dermatology, licensed to practice.
• Experience in delivering dermatology care and supervising junior staff.
