Staff Nurse – Operating Room (Cardiovascular/Transplant/Neuro)

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking experienced staff nurses to join the cardiovascular, transplant and neuro operating rooms. The role involves delivering direct and indirect patient care in a high‑acuity surgical environment, applying evidence‑based practices and supporting patients and families throughout their surgical journey.

Key responsibilities

• Complete timely patient admission, assessments and update care plans based on individual needs.
• Provide direct nursing care, monitor patient condition, and document effectiveness of interventions.
• Educate patients and families, considering cultural and special concerns, and verify understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications using barcode scanning and follow approved protocols.
• Carry out prescribed treatments and procedures in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to address healthcare needs and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote professional interdisciplinary communication.
• Complete charge capture in Epic within 24 business hours and report errors or near‑misses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two years post‑graduate experience in a General Surgery/Operating Room setting.
• Valid and current UAE nursing license.
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent) required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications relevant to the specialty.
