Tooling Specialist (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Tooling Specialist will support procurement operations at the SE GS Abu Dhabi Tooling Center, sourcing and procuring tooling equipment, consumables and related services. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and optimise procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement activities for tooling equipment, consumables, services and CAPEX across the UAE and the region.
• Evaluate, negotiate and onboard suppliers to ensure quality, cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery while expanding the supplier network.
• Conduct receiving inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain optimal stock and support urgent project requirements through rapid local sourcing.
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast tooling needs and drive localisation initiatives that reduce lead times and improve cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database and assess vendor capabilities.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of procurement experience, preferably in tooling, energy sector or workshop environments.
• Strong knowledge of tooling equipment, consumables and procurement processes and documentation.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
• Ability to work independently and support senior colleagues.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) procurement systems.
• General ERP system familiarity.
