Base Maintenance Technician (B1)

About the role

The Base Maintenance Technician (B1) will support the Engineer in performing airframe and engine maintenance on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures aircraft are serviceable, safe, and ready for operation by carrying out inspections, repairs, defect rectification, and component replacements.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Engineer‑in‑Charge to understand work scope, priorities, and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, securing required parts, tools, and ground support equipment (GSE).
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, accurately recording any defects or damage.
• Perform repairs, component replacements, and functional tests in strict accordance with approved data and procedures.
• Manage tooling and equipment, returning all items in good condition after use.
• Report task status regularly and alert the Engineer‑in‑Charge to any issues.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and adhere to all safety precautions.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced in civil aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to follow detailed task cards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and airworthiness standards.
• Effective communication with internal teams and external customers.
