Business Critical Applications Director

About the role

Miral Experiences is seeking a Business Critical Applications Director to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of all mission‑critical digital platforms that support its world‑class attractions. You will guide a high‑performing team, align technology initiatives with the company’s growth objectives, and ensure seamless guest experiences across ticketing, POS, and other front‑of‑house systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present the Digital & Technology financial budget, manage capital project proposals, and enforce financial and procurement policies.
• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of guest‑facing applications such as ticketing, point‑of‑sale, locker, asset management, time‑attendance, and booking platforms.
• Drive innovation by introducing emerging technologies like facial recognition and footfall‑counting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements, translating them into scalable digital solutions.
• Mitigate risks, optimise budgets, and maintain strong vendor relationships to enhance operational efficiency.
• Foster cross‑departmental collaboration and ensure alignment of all applications with core business strategy.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in managing business‑critical applications within tourism, entertainment, or similar high‑volume environments.
• Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing technology budgets and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating operational needs into technical solutions.
• Track record of driving innovation and adopting emerging technologies.
• Analytical and diagnostic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
