Head of Operations – Dubai

About the role

BTSE Group, a global fintech and blockchain leader, is expanding its Dubai entity and seeks a Head of Operations to drive day‑to‑day activities, build operational frameworks, and ensure regulatory compliance. This senior position reports to senior management and works closely with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across trading, payments, and the client lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and maintain operational processes, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulators, including VARA, supporting licensing and compliance.
• Identify, assess, and manage operational risks, including incident handling and escalation.
• Collaborate with global teams and provide regular operational reporting to senior leadership.
• Support recruitment and build‑out of the local operations function.

Required profile

• Proven operations experience in financial services, fintech, or a virtual asset service provider (VASP).
• Track record of working in a regulated environment with ownership of operational controls, policies, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of trading operations, payments, or client‑facing workflows.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory landscape, especially VARA requirements, and ability to meet VARA fit‑and‑proper standards.
• UAE resident, national, or willing to relocate to Dubai.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
