Staff Physician – Hospital Medicine

About the role

The Integrated Hospital Care Institute is seeking experienced Hospital Medicine Physicians to join our team as Staff Physicians (Consultants). This full‑time position involves direct patient care within our Hospital Medicine specialty, contributing to high‑quality, culturally sensitive treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide comprehensive care to in‑patients in the Hospital Medicine department.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and other specialized treatments.
• Analyze medical records, lab results, and imaging to diagnose conditions.
• Communicate procedures, test results, and treatment plans to patients and families.
• Perform appropriate surgical procedures and operations.
• Document patient encounters and coordinate referrals to multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in administrative duties such as committees, task forces, and performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MD, MBBS, MBChB, DO or equivalent with board certification from ABMS or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 candidates or 5 years for Tier 2 candidates.
• Valid medical license in the country of last employment.
• Ability to manage a healthcare team effectively.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
