Technician – Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technician to join the Engineering team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Dubai’s newest luxury lifestyle destination. The role involves maintaining and operating the technical systems of the marina and associated facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and control all marina technical systems, including utilities, structures, lighting, pump‑out systems, gates and fire protection.
• Ensure proper functioning of seawater circulation, sanitary facilities, substations, pump stations, sewage treatment, water tanks, parking areas and prefabricated facilities.
• Organise disposal of hazardous waste through authorised service providers.
• Coordinate external maintenance services and assist in budget preparation for technical operations.
• Inspect and verify marina safety equipment and maintain required technical documentation.
• Monitor utility consumption, manage work permits, support vendors and record damages for insurance reporting.

Required profile

• High school education with a relevant technical diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical department.
• Strong technical competence and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven problem‑solving ability with leadership and team‑management skills.
• Creative mindset with effective project‑management capabilities.
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong behavioural and organisational competencies.
