Digital Innovation Officer – UAE National

About the role

The Digital Innovation Officer will support Etihad Airways’ leadership team by driving the adoption and implementation of automation technologies across the airline. The role focuses on designing, developing and managing efficient automation solutions using business intelligence tools to meet operational requirements and improve efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with external suppliers to ensure automation and data management systems (Power BI, Power Automate, SQL databases) meet compliance, functionality and data integrity standards.
• Design and implement specialised data analysis tools for accurate operational data access.
• Develop, deploy and maintain automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SQL and Logic Apps.
• Identify manual processes suitable for automation and create strategies to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure all automated systems comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare documentation and maintain records for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and align initiatives with organisational goals.
• Recommend and implement improvements in automation technologies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher; degree in IT, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably within an airline’s Flight Operations area.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards, especially for flight and cabin crew operations.
• Proven track record of implementing automation projects that enhance operational efficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail for documentation and compliance records.
