Fashion Designer & Production Executive

About the role

ZAVI is seeking a versatile Fashion Designer & Production Executive to lead design concepts and manage end‑to‑end production for its markets in Dubai, Riyadh and the UK. The role blends creative development with hands‑on factory coordination and requires regular travel to India.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise seasonal styles and capsule collections that balance chic modesty, climate considerations and price points.
• Conduct market and trend research, translate findings into mood boards, sketches and fabric concepts.
• Produce detailed tech packs, flat sketches and material specifications using Adobe Illustrator.
• Brief factories, oversee sampling, conduct fit sessions, log corrections and approve final samples.
• Manage daily communication with manufacturing partners, negotiate lead times and monitor production calendars.
• Source sustainable fabrics, trims and finishes, and expand a network of ethical suppliers, especially in India.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of fashion design experience with full production involvement.
• Portfolio demonstrating original design authorship and commercial range.
• Experience designing for multiple markets and understanding differing consumer needs.
• Comfortable working in factory environments and able to travel to India 4–6 times per year.
• Highly self‑directed, able to create and follow task lists from brief to delivery.
