Senior Software Engineer – Backend

About the role

As a Senior Backend Engineer you will join a cross‑functional team of engineers, product managers and data specialists to continuously discover customer and business needs. You will design, develop and release end‑to‑end solutions that deliver value in small, frequent batches while owning the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and data teams to define and prioritize business outcomes.
• Design, implement and ship backend services that are scalable, reliable and maintainable.
• Apply Extreme Programming practices such as Test‑Driven Development, Pair Programming and Mob Programming.
• Mentor junior engineers and help evolve the team toward a self‑organising, continuously improving unit.
• Question and simplify existing technical processes and systems.

Required profile

• Understanding of lean and agile principles.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an XP environment.
