Architectural Inspector – Dubai

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Architectural Inspector for its Dubai site office. Reporting to the Discipline Engineers, you will conduct on‑site inspections, surveillance and testing to verify that construction activities meet the approved documents, codes and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections of architectural works and record contractor activities.
• Monitor compliance with the inspection plan, drawings, codes and specifications.
• Review and flag issues in contractor shop drawings and documents that could affect stability or function.
• Ensure contractor adherence to the approved Quality Control Plan and safety protocols.
• Provide regular progress reports, maintain daily site diaries and monthly photographic records.
• Expedite NOCs and client approvals, liaising with contractors and authorities as needed.
• Assist senior architectural engineers and managers with guidance and support.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of architectural codes, standards and construction specifications.
• Experience monitoring architectural engineering aspects on large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to liaise effectively with senior engineers, contractors and regulatory bodies.
