AVP – Team Leader, Wajaha Private Banking

About the role

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Team Leader for Wajaha Private Banking will oversee a team delivering high‑level service to high‑net‑worth (HNW) clients. The role focuses on growing the portfolio, meeting deposit and investment product targets, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Promote financial products, gather client information, and evaluate risk profiles.
• Achieve budgeted volumes for deposits and investment product sales to meet financial targets.
• Identify client needs and present suitable investment solutions.
• Provide a “one‑stop” banking service, ensuring timely execution of client requests.
• Maintain adherence to bank processes, policies, and regulatory requirements, reporting any deviations.
• Prevent client attrition by delivering satisfactory service.
• Maintain regular contact with clients via phone or face‑to‑face meetings to assess risk appetite and tailor product portfolios.
• Execute all tasks and projects within approved policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the team, conduct regular meetings, and coordinate training.
• Ensure consistent implementation of standard operating procedures, anti‑money‑laundering regulations, and manage sensitive client relationships.

Required profile

• University certificate with at least 3 years of experience or a diploma.
• Alternative qualifications such as CFA, AFA, CIP, CIIA, COF, FRM, or ICAM.
• Mandatory certifications: CISI UAE Rules and CISI Wealth & Investment Level 3.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience in financial markets, investment, or wealth management.
