Chief Engineer

About the role

The Chief Engineer leads all engineering and maintenance operations for a large property on Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay. The role ensures the building, grounds and physical plant operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards while driving cost‑effective asset protection.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering and maintenance budgets, capital‑expenditure projects and preventative‑maintenance programs.
• Oversee HVAC‑R, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, water‑treatment and life‑safety systems to maintain optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security and regulatory requirements, and lead the emergency response team.
• Supervise day‑to‑day engineering activities, including equipment inspections, repairs, renovations and procurement of supplies.
• Coordinate with guest services to resolve facility‑related issues and uphold high customer‑service standards.
• Monitor energy‑conservation initiatives and drive profitability through efficient operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of engineering/maintenance experience, **or** an associate degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, projects and a multidisciplinary engineering team.
