About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Facility Engineer to operate and maintain the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of its global data centers. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting of critical equipment with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the highest safety standards and lead safety initiatives across the facility.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems such as UPS, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC, exhaust fans, VFDs and transformers.
- Respond to facility and rack‑level events within internal service‑level agreements.
- Perform root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and drive cost‑effective innovations.
- Work a rotating schedule of 12‑hour shifts (2 days day, 2 nights) with on‑call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.

- Willingness to work rotating shifts and be on‑call.
