About the role
The Bellman (Bell Attendant) provides first‑hand guest service by handling luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, and delivering accurate information about the hotel and the surrounding area. This position supports Front Office operations and helps create a positive first and last impression for every guest.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly, assist with luggage handling and escort them to their rooms.
- Explain room features, hotel facilities and services.
- Assist guests during check‑out with luggage and transportation arrangements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, entrance and luggage storage areas.
- Handle guest requests promptly, coordinating with Front Office and Concierge teams.
- Support valet parking operations when required.
- Ensure proper handling, tagging and storage of guest luggage.
- Follow safety, security and hotel SOPs at all times.
- Report guest feedback, complaints or unusual situations to the Front Office Supervisor.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hotel, serviced apartment or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi city, landmarks and directions is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry luggage.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
