Director of Rooms

About the role

The Director of Rooms will act as the strategic leader of the Rooms department at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, driving brand standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. Reporting to senior hotel management, this role oversees all aspects of room operations, from front‑desk to housekeeping, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Rooms team to deliver the brand’s service vision across all guest touchpoints.
• Develop, implement, and monitor departmental strategies aligned with the hotel’s overall business plan.
• Analyze service trends, control expenses, and audit financial performance to meet budgetary targets.
• Manage room rates, promotions, and occupancy strategies to maximize revenue.
• Review guest feedback, address issues promptly, and drive continuous improvement in service quality.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to support hotel-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or a related field with at least 4 years relevant experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales, marketing, or operations.
• Proven leadership experience in a hotel rooms or guest services environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial reports and drive profitability.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
