Group System Administrator

About the role

The Group System Administrator will manage and monitor both on‑premises and cloud‑based servers for a leading transportation and logistics company in Dubai. You will ensure the reliability, security and performance of the entire IT infrastructure while supporting a range of enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Windows and Linux servers, both on‑premises and in Azure/AWS.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and user accounts.
• Oversee network devices including firewalls, routers, switches and VPNs.
• Implement security best practices: patch management, backups, disaster recovery and endpoint protection.
• Maintain hardware inventory and lifecycle management of IT assets.
• Monitor system performance, conduct tuning and capacity planning.
• Install, configure and support enterprise applications such as Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure and VMware.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and procurement.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and document resolutions.
• Create and maintain IT documentation, network diagrams, SOPs and configuration guides.
• Assist with IT audits and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in system administration or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365 and networking protocols.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with security tools such as endpoint protection, SIEM, MFA and backup solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred (MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, Azure Administrator, RHCSA).
