Accountant – IT Services (5-8 years experience)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Accountant with 5–8 years of experience, preferably in an IT services or technology-driven environment. The role involves managing financial operations, project‑based accounting, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and perform reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including client invoicing for IT services and AMC contracts.
• Execute project accounting tasks such as cost allocation, revenue tracking, and profitability analysis per project.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and MIS dashboards.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, cash‑flow management, and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Track contract revenue (AMC, SLAs, milestone‑based billing) and monitor operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, IFRS (especially IFRS 15), and internal policies.
• Assist in internal and external audits and maintain financial data integrity within ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–8 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in the IT services/technology sector.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA (partially or fully qualified) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP applications.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Knowledge of IFRS standards, especially revenue recognition under IFRS 15.
• Experience in project accounting and service‑based revenue recognition.
