General Manager – UAE Operations

About the role

The Shaw Group is seeking a General Manager to lead its UAE business and operations. This full‑time, on‑site position in Abu Dhabi is responsible for strategic leadership, delivery of projects, and overall P&L performance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement project management strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Oversee development of project plans, schedules, budgets and ensure governance throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage the UAE P&L, including financial performance of each project.
• Approve and control changes to scope, schedule and budget at a governance level.
• Standardize project controls using Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management.
• Allocate resources across multiple projects, coordinating internal teams and external suppliers.
• Drive risk, change and claim management, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and mentor high‑performing project management teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in managing large‑scale industrial or construction projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with full P&L responsibility.
• Excellent stakeholder and client engagement skills.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
