Junior Mechanical Design & Layout Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Design & Layout Engineer to join our engineering team in Dubai, supporting airport logistics solutions. The role involves creating mechanical layouts, producing detailed drawings, and coordinating across disciplines to deliver high‑performance baggage and cargo handling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project mechanical layouts using Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop manufacturing and installation drawings, including sections and clash reports.
• Coordinate with electrical, steelworks, PLC/IT and other disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Prepare BOM, BOQ and RFQ documents for procurement and support SAP material ordering.
• Manage technical communication with suppliers and submit design documentation for client approval.
• Check building interfaces, generate clash reports, and support site execution, snagging and commissioning.
• Produce accurate as‑built documentation and uphold engineering standards, quality and safety.

Required profile

• BSc Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years experience, or Diploma with 5 years experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a mechanical design environment, preferably in conveying or logistics technology.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally and work in an international team.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment safety standards (e.g., Machine Directive, EU norms).
