Legal Counsel – TMT Contracts

About the role

We are supporting a leading organisation in Dubai to hire a Legal Counsel for its Technology, Media & Communication (TMT) Contracts function. The role focuses on complex technology contracting, covering digital transformation, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, fintech and large‑scale enterprise procurements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex technology, media and communication contracts.
• Advise on deal structuring, risk allocation and negotiation strategy for major procurements.
• Provide legal guidance on emerging technologies and regulatory considerations such as AI governance, data localisation and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Support high‑profile technology initiatives and framework agreements with global vendors.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and deliver clear, strategic legal advice.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer from a recognised common‑law jurisdiction.
• 8–15 years post‑qualification experience, with a strong background in a top‑tier international law firm and reputable in‑house legal team.
• Deep experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts.
• Proven exposure to digital transformation projects, cloud services, cybersecurity, AI, fintech and emerging technologies.
• Experience advising public‑sector or large institutional clients.
