Legal Consultant – IT & AI Specialist (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Consultant to join our Abu Dhabi office, focusing on IT and AI related legal matters. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of technology agreements while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review software, IT partnership, reseller, teaming agreements, NDAs, SLAs, and related legal documents.
• Assess RFPs from a legal perspective and align agreements with bid requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hardware vendors.
• Manage software licensing issues, including proprietary and open‑source considerations.
• Oversee patent filings for new algorithms and protect trade secrets such as source code.
• Prepare labour, purchase agreements, and internal meeting minutes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Legal Consultant in the IT sector.
• Strong knowledge of UAE civil, company, labour law and GDPR/PDPL compliance.
• Fluent in reading and writing Arabic and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PDF documents.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Microsoft Word competency.
