Material QA/QC Engineer – Finishing Works

About the role

We are seeking a Material QA/QC Engineer with strong experience in architectural and finishing works to support a large‑scale construction project in Abu Dhabi. You will lead material approval processes, ensure compliance with project specifications, and coordinate closely with consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead material approval processes for architectural and finishing works, ensuring full compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Review and technically verify subcontractor material submissions, method statements, samples, and mock‑ups before consultant submission.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to secure timely approvals and resolve technical comments.
• Manage technical discussions and negotiations related to finishing materials, specifications, and approval workflows.
• Conduct material inspections and quality checks on site to confirm proper implementation of approved materials.
• Proactively follow up on pending approvals, defend material submissions, and address consultant comments to avoid delays.
• Monitor finishing quality control activities, including sample reviews, mock‑up inspections, and compliance verification throughout execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in contracting companies, focusing on material approvals and finishing works.
• Experience on high‑rise tower projects and familiarity with material submittals, consultant approvals, snagging, and final handover processes.
