Technical Coordinator – Construction & Contracting

About the role

The Technical Coordinator will act as the central hub for all technical activities on construction projects, linking site teams, consultants, subcontractors and project management. This role ensures that technical documentation is accurate, approved and readily available to support smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical activities between site teams, consultants, subcontractors and project management.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to provide execution support.
• Prepare, track and manage technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals and RFIs.
• Maintain updated technical documents and distribute them to relevant departments.
• Support project teams in resolving technical issues and design coordination matters.
• Monitor documentation flow, keep organized technical records and logs.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, planning, procurement and engineering teams.
• Follow up with consultants and clients on pending approvals and clarifications.
• Assist in preparing method statements, as‑built drawings and close‑out documents.
• Attend technical coordination meetings and record minutes of meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in UAE construction or contracting companies.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, technical documentation and coordination processes.
• Experience handling RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and consultant coordination.
• Good communication, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
