Mathematics Teacher (AY26/27)

About the role

Aldar Academies is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for Yas American Academy on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, starting March 2026 for the academic year 2026/27. The role involves delivering the Massachusetts Common Core Mathematics curriculum alongside the local Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies programmes in a supportive, student‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that meet the curriculum objectives and cater to the full ability range.
• Organise classroom resources, create displays and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Differentiate instruction to support SEN, EAL and gifted & talented students.
• Implement hybrid, distance‑learning and face‑to‑face teaching modalities as required.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, Key Stage Leader and Vice Principal to monitor pupil progress and adjust teaching strategies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics at secondary level.
• Familiarity with the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum and ability to integrate local curriculum elements.
• Commitment to the school’s core values and an appreciation of regional cultural values.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to reflect on and improve teaching practice.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a diverse school community.
