Part-Time IT Support Engineer (MENA)

About the role

As a part‑time IT Support Engineer you will be the first line of defence for a fast‑growing AI startup operating across the MENA region. You will handle day‑to‑day help‑desk tickets, onboarding and off‑boarding processes, and support the corporate security program while working closely with the Security & IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line hardware, software and account support for a 70+ person team on macOS and Windows.
• Manage end‑to‑end Day 1 onboarding: account creation, device provisioning and Okta setup.
• Execute off‑boarding tasks: disable accounts, revoke access, recover equipment and maintain audit‑ready logs.
• Process access requests within a 2‑hour SLA and route Tier 2/3 tickets to appropriate approvers.
• Support conference‑room AV equipment and troubleshoot network connectivity in MENA office locations.
• Maintain runbooks and self‑service resources to reduce repeat requests.

Required profile

• 2+ years of IT support or help‑desk experience, preferably in a startup environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple open requests without dropping the ball.
• Clear communication with non‑technical employees and the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Okta provisioning, group management and SSO troubleshooting.
• macOS and Windows desktop support.
• Conference‑room AV setup and troubleshooting.
• Basic network infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration (bonus).
• MDM tools such as Jamf or Kandji (bonus).
• Understanding of SOC 2 access‑control requirements (bonus).
• Basic scripting in Python or Bash (bonus).
