Senior Manager - Platform SDLC Engineer

About the role

DeepLight AI is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the design, implementation, and enforcement of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) frameworks for a major banking client. This senior technical leadership position bridges development, security, and risk teams to embed security controls into automated CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Define, deploy, and standardize secure development frameworks and guardrails across all software and data platform engineering workstreams.
• Design and integrate automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) directly into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee identification, triage, and remediation of code‑level and infrastructure vulnerabilities before production deployment.
• Validate that all software releases meet internal security baselines, regulatory compliance mandates, and automated governance gates.
• Provide technical guidance to platform and DevOps engineers, fostering a Shift‑Left security culture.
• Deliver clear visibility into pipeline security metrics, compliance health, and systemic risks to senior technical and risk leadership.
• Coach and mentor team members, supporting growth while maintaining high performance standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading SSDLC initiatives in regulated environments, preferably banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive security‑first mindsets.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to senior technical and risk stakeholders.
