About the role

We are seeking a passionate Secondary Maths Teacher to join Aspen Heights British School in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering engaging mathematics lessons to secondary students, fostering a love of learning and supporting each pupil’s progress.

Key responsibilities

• Set high expectations and create a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons that build on pupils’ prior knowledge.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Monitor and be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes.
• Assign and review homework and out‑of‑class activities to consolidate learning.
• Reflect on teaching effectiveness and contribute to curriculum design.
• Maintain up‑to‑date subject knowledge and promote scholarly attitudes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the secondary mathematics curriculum.
• Understanding of how pupils learn and ability to adapt teaching accordingly.
• Commitment to high standards of literacy and clear communication.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students of all backgrounds.
