Senior Conflicts Manager – Asia & Middle East

About the role

Walkers is seeking a Senior Conflicts Manager to join its Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team. The role will be based in Dubai, Hong Kong or Singapore and will lead a specialised conflicts team that analyses, advises on and resolves legal and commercial conflicts of interest, information barriers and share‑dealing requests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities of conflicts advisors across the relevant time zone.
• Act as the escalation point for complex legal and commercial conflicts, ensuring compliance with regulations, professional rules and contractual terms.
• Develop, optimise and standardise policies, controls and processes related to conflicts of interest, client confidentiality, information barriers, share dealing and Market Abuse Regulations.
• Drive the use of technology and automation (including Intapp) to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of additional conflicts advisors.

Required profile

• Significant experience in compliance, legal or professional services environments.
• Proven ability to analyse, advise on and resolve complex conflicts of interest and confidentiality matters.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of advisors.
• Excellent judgment and the capacity to act as a trusted escalation point for the business.
