Senior Construction Superintendent – Piping

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to lead piping works on its projects. The role involves overseeing subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence while supporting the Construction Manager and Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Work to a 90‑day look‑ahead schedule and provide leadership to site‑based construction supervision across multiple disciplines.
• Assist subcontractors in selecting the best methods to execute piping works.
• Monitor daily construction progress, labour and equipment utilisation, and verify timesheets on reimbursable contracts.
• Identify scope changes, notify the Subcontracts Manager and ensure contractual compliance.
• Support the Construction Manager/Engineer in finalising technical decisions.
• Take ownership of safety by reviewing subcontractor HSSE plans, conducting toolbox talks and daily site inspections.
• Ensure quality by verifying ITPs and QCPs are in place before work starts and that work is executed correctly the first time.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising large‑scale piping construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contract types (reimbursable, unit rates) and ability to manage subcontractor performance.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSSE standards and proactive safety leadership.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors, engineers and senior management.
