Sr. Engineer, Water Network Strategy

About the role

TAQA Distribution is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the development of its five‑year water distribution expansion plan and align long‑term network strategies with the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030. The role involves translating policy, demand forecasts and stakeholder requirements into actionable capital‑expenditure programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare five‑year planning statements and annual expansion plans for the water distribution network.
• Develop and maintain the Asset Management Policy and Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) in line with corporate strategy.
• Produce capital‑expenditure (CAPEX) projections, analyse demand, and estimate infrastructure costs.
• Coordinate with government bodies, the Urban Planning Council, developers and the Executive Council to ensure compliance with regulations and strategic objectives.
• Lead feasibility and technical studies, including network modelling for future development and rehabilitation.
• Manage preparation of periodical management and progress reports for senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to HSE, security and risk management procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Water Resources) with extensive experience in water distribution planning.
• Proven track record in developing long‑term asset management and CAPEX plans.
• Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi regulatory framework and Vision 2030 objectives.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
