I was posted to a number of different clinical departments and wards across the hospital, where I collected performance data on medical equipment for studies conducted by the Hospital Biomedical Engineering Unit. I was also appointed as a technical documentation clerk to log service records and calibration results from the studies. ● I inspected and tested medical devices (e.g., ventilators, infusion pumps, patient monitors) and guided clinical staff through the correct operational use of different diagnostic and therapeutic instruments during routine and emergency procedures. ● I interviewed nursing and medical staff regarding equipment malfunctions, guided them through the use of their respective fault-reporting tools, and performed physical safety and environmental compliance checks in each ward. ● Despite a number of serious logistical issues—including delayed spare parts delivery and concurrent emergency repairs—I carried out all preventive maintenance schedules on time and delivered all duly completed equipment service reports, including technical field reports, which were used to improve the hospital’s maintenance protocol. ● I sorted and edited technical maintenance logs and calibration records in line with hospital safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications. ● I captured and analyzed maintenance data using a number of tools: CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Excel, SAP PM, and database software. I performed discrepancy checks on equipment failure trends; where necessary, I cleaned the data by adjusting calibration offsets or updating firmware. ● In liaison with my clinical engineering team, I wrote reports highlighting issues such as recurring software bugs in devices, electrical safety hazards, and data capture anomalies in the asset management system. This overall helped streamline the repair workflow, reduce equipment downtime, and lower clinical error rates.

I was posted to several different schools across the country where I collected data for studies conducted by the National Assessment Centre. I was also appointed as a data entry clerk to capture data from the studies. ● I invigilated students and guided them using different data collection instruments during Assessment tests. ● I interviewed people of interest to the organization, guided them using their respective data collection tools and performed school assessment checks. ● Despite several serious logistics issues, I carried out all assessments on time and delivered all duly filled data collection instruments including field reports which were used to improve the process. ● I sort and edit data collection instruments in line with study guidelines. ● I captured data using several tools: SPSS, IEA DME, Excel and CS Pro and performed discrepancy checks. where necessary, I cleaned the data. ● In liaison with my team, I wrote reports highlighting issues such as bugs in code, data capture etc. This overall helped streamline the process and reduced errors.
